I’ve mentioned a few times that I have some big news, and one of those pieces of big news is that I will be running the Chicago Marathon this year!

All that to say, my training schedule has definitely been different lately. We are in full swing for the marathon training now and at the same time I have been working on my strength at CrossFit. I have a physical fitness test coming up in a few months which is not going to be easy so I am preparing for that as well. Lots going on!
Last week I was sick, so it was rough getting back into the swing of things, but here is a summary of what I did this week:
Back Squat 3-3-3 90#
10 minute AMRAP:
5/hand KB snatch
10 overhead forward lunges
10 pull ups
3 rounds for time:
10 burpee box jump overs (20″ box)
80 single unders
3 mile run
4 mile run
Minute 1: 1 deadlift, 1 hang power clean, 1 power clean, 1 shoulder to overhead 75#
Minute 2: max chin ups in 30 seconds
Minute 3: max dips in 30 seconds
(And some ab work)
2 mile run
1. Hang Squat Clean. Front Squat 3.3×3 2 min. rest in between
2. For time:
Box jumps 20″
My time: 3:21
5 Mile Run
And that’s it! I am headed out on vacation on Friday so will be trying to get into the CF gym as much as possible this upcoming week. I’ll probably push hard this week knowing that next week will be lower on the heavy lifting. What did y’all do to stay active this week?
